Rachel studied Garden Design at the Oxford College of Garden Design, run by six-times RHS medallist Duncan Heather, graduating with distinction.

During the postgraduate diploma course, she worked for Coleby and Faulkner, providing support and care during the construction and subsequent maintenance of their designs before setting up her own design practice.

Rachel has previously freelanced for Matt Haddon Studios and The Garden Design Company. Presently, she works closely with Manoj Malde Garden Design as a design associate.

In 2022, Rachel became the runner-up RHS Young Designer of the Year at Tatton Park, winning a Silver-Gilt medal, Best Construction and People's Choice. She also became a pre-registered member of the Society of Garden Designers. In the same year she won the Prolandscaper 30 under 30 competition. In 2023, she repeated her success at Tatton Park, winning another Silver-gilt medal, Best Construction and People’s Choice.

Rachel prefers to keep her team small, so that she can provide a personalised, face-to-face service. She strongly believes in creating lasting relationships with her clients and is committed to understanding the requirements of the client's brief in detail, as well as their aspirations. Recognising that each garden and brief are unique, she tailors every proposal to the client.
