Before, this two acre rural garden near Blewbury consisted of a dark driveway, a large empty lawn and a tennis court at the far end.
We were asked to create a stylish entertaining space, a water feature close to the house and a natural swimming pond.
Inspired by the landscape at Jupiter Artland and the amazing views of fields and woods to the left side of the property, we re-contoured the 5m slope across the site, using it to our advantage so that it created a sense of flow and direction around the front and back of the garden.
On the right, we provided more formal screening from the overlooking houses. But on the left, we borrowed the view by adding trees and a meadow to frame the view beyond and provide a natural and seamless boundary between the two spaces.
With the addition of large herbaceous borders, several distinct but interlinked entertaining areas (including a hot tub lounge, fire pit area, dining terrace and covered deck area by the natural pool), the garden is now full of biodiversity, interest and functionality for any sized party.
